To Install A Pipe and Drape System - A Hand to Hand Guide

To install a pipe and drape system, first you need to get these four items: uprights, drapes, bases ( which fits the uprights)  and cross bar.
well, these are basic requirements, you may need more if you want more decorations or addings.

The process of the installation  is simple you just have to screw the upright into the base, then put up the uprights along with the bases, then hang or thread the drape panels on the cross bar, finally you put the cross bar and the drape between the uprights.

If you got somebody to help you, the whole process goes much quicker.

Installing the uprights:

One person can screw the uprights into the bases together with position them approximately exactly where they should go (a helper can assist placing these). make sure not to “cross thread” the upright by controlling it perfectly straight up when screwing it into the base.

After the upright engages the threaded base correctly, stone it delicately forwards and backwards whilst screwing it into ensure it is totally screwed in. This will keep the upright from wobbling in the base.

You will discover typically a couple of holes in the base to screw an upright into. If you always use the core hole you will never be wrong. The center hole gives the best support to the upright wherever it is standing.

When handling these long uprights, care should be taken not to hit chandeliers, walls, ceilings, and decorations (or people hanging them).

Putting up the drapery & curtains:

The third individual could be sliding 3 drape panels on each drape support (prolonged out to 10’) planning them for hanging.

The drape panels have a pocket sewn on top of the drape – the drape support slides inside it. Make sure to face the hems of the sewn slots to the identical side so they can be installed away from the view of attendees participating in the event.

Place the drape panels evenly across the drape support so the drape folds looks uniform. This will avoid the drape appearing smooth is some places and “bunched up” in others.

It is a good idea to create a “drape threading” station (or stations) with a pair of eight foot tables spaced about 8-10 feet apart. This will likely keep the drape from getting soiled on the floor and will allow the drape hanger handy access to them.

Adjust the length of the drape support to match the uprights previously spaced out before attempting installation. Just hold the drape support next to the uprights you will be installing it in and depress the button on the support while sliding it smaller. When you reach the correct width – hang it up.
