RK offers a wide range of pipe and drape system choices, however, we also offer a selection of pipe and drape parts. For those interested in pipe and drape, know what are the parts and know how to set them up is vital.
So, how many parts are there? Basically there are four: pipe and drape bases, pipe and drape cross bar, pipe and drape curtain, pipe and drape uprights. Although pipe and drape accessories are also needed, like: Pegs, hooks, and screw pins, but they are usually included in according parts.
Pipe and drape Bases: As the name suggested, it is the foot of the whole system. Before set up the system, it is advised to connect the uprights to the bases first, because pipe and drape bases have a wide range of variety, you need to check if the bases are fit for the uprights. Also, you need to calculate the whole size of your pipe and drape system. The bigger the system is, the bigger bases you will need. For detailed information about pipe and drape base, read here.
Pipe and drape uprights: As mentioned above, these bad boys need to be connected to the bases, they are the stands of the system, if bases are feet, then they are the legs. The old fashioned uprights can not be adjusted, means that their height are fixed, which also means that the whole system’s height is fixed. However modern designed pipe and drape uprights have adjustable clamps, some even have two such clamps, allowing the you to change the height.
Pipe and drape curtain: Pipe and drape curtain is the most important part, if your pipe and drape serves as a decoration, then the curtain decides the whole outcome of your system; if however your pipe and drape is used to cut some space and divide a room, then the curtain fabric decides how much of privacy you are going to get. RK offers a wide range of pipe and drape curtain, in color or in fabric. We have discusspipe and drape curtain before, if you are confused about this part, I suggest you read this.
Pipe and drape cross bar: Also named drape support rod. It is the part that supports the drape. As the upright bars, the old fashioned cross bar can not be adjusted, meaning that the length is fixed, however, newly designed cross bar can be adjusted, therefore, you can make the whole pipe and drape system longer, covering more area.
There are other accessories, like packages and such. They are usually included in the system. RK offers two different kinds of pipe and drape packages – bag pack and case pack.
